How it works
A straightforward process from first contact to marked lines and documentation.

Schedule your private locate
We’ll confirm a time and day that works for you. Standard rates are a $120 minimum service charge. After the first hour, billed at $50 in 30-minute increments.

On-site locate
We’ll visit your property to identify and mark your private underground utilities using Vivax-Metrotech utility locating equipment.

Receive your documents
After your private locate is completed, you will receive your locate package, including your job form and locate sketch. See a sample package.

Dig safely
Once your private lines are marked, you can move forward with your project safely and confidently. Public utilities still need to be requested through Ontario One Call.
What we locate
We locate private utilities that are not marked through the standard Ontario One Call program.
W
Water
Water lines beyond the shutoff at the property line, private water mains and services, and buried curb-stop valves under grass or asphalt.
G
Gas
Private gas lines to pool heaters, barbecues, propane tanks, and outdoor heaters, including tracer wire at the meter where present.
H
Hydro
Outdoor lighting, receptacles, generator feeds, EV charging station feeds, automatic gates, and other traceable wires, pipes, or cables not covered by One Call.
Vivax-Metrotech utility locating equipment
We use Vivax-Metrotech locating receivers and transmitters for reliable, accurate results. Private utilities are typically marked with pink paint, and may also be marked in standard utility colours when appropriate.
Ontario One Call marks public utilities up to the service connection. Arrow Locates picks up where that service ends — on your property.
